NOTE: Please use these chemicals only after consultation with manufacturers, as not all chemicals are suited to certain types of portable spas.

Bromine

Bromine has the same qualities as chlorine, but it is much easier to use and also smells much better and less harsh. Bromine acts in a similar fashion, but creates its own forms, which are equivalent to bromamines called chloramines. Bromamines is odorless and is not as irritating as chloramines are skin and eyes. Bromamines really disinfectants themselves, so that only enhance the quality of bromine disinfectant. Bromine is better suited for high water temperatures and is more tolerant of high pH value and is more stable, too.

Chlorine

Chlorine is the oldest and most traditional way to sterilize the water. Chlorine is a popular choice, but it is not advisable to use now so it has a strong smell, which is caused by chloramines and is also irritating to skin and eyes, so you might want to consider reducing the use of chlorine in their water.

EcoONE

EcoONE is a soft water treatment spa that you can use to sterilize the water. It has no harsh chemicals like chlorine in it. It is not the enzymes, plant extracts and natural minerals. Naturally dramatically clean your spa and water, negating the need to clean it again for the next three months.

The ozonator

If you are not too keen on using chemicals to clean the spa water, then you could use a cleaning feature called the ozonator. With the ozonator, water is cleaner and clearer. He also feels much smoother compared with after adding chemicals to water. Ozone is powerful oxidant that rids the water of pollutants. These ozone generators are called spa ozonator.
